If you have chosen to collect your tickets at the venue box office, they will generally be available for you 30 minutes before the doors open.
The box office is usually located at the main entrance to the event.
You will need to show the debit or credit card used to place the order and booking reference number for identification purposes when collecting your tickets.
Please click here to read the Terms & Conditions which customers must agree to when using the site and purchasing from tickets.ie.
Note that our Terms & Conditions take precedence over these FAQs, which are provided for information purposes only.

If you have already placed and order and wish to order additional tickets for the same event, please place a new order for the extra number of tickets required.
Will tickets / more tickets be available in a specific stand or section?
tickets.ie sells tickets provided to it by the GAA. The GAA determines which sections and seats will be available for sale and tickets.ie does not have any visibility or control over possible future ticket allocations.
You should check back on the website regularly to see if further tickets have become available. Please note however, it is not guaranteed that additional tickets will become available or which stand or section they may be in.
Can I choose seats in a specific section or row? Can I choose seats near the pitch, under cover, at the back, an aisle seat etc? Will I be able to choose my seats or get better seats if I call tickets.ie?
All tickets currently allocated to tickets.ie are available from our website. You will be automatically given the best available seats at the price you choose when you order.
It is not possible to select specific seats for GAA events, either online or over the phone. tickets.ie does not have any visibility or control over which sections or seats may be made available by the GAA in the future.
I already purchased tickets – is it possible to buy more tickets beside them?
Unfortunately it is not possible to secure additional tickets beside or near an existing order as all such seats would have been sold to other customers in the meantime. Please note that it is not possible to cancel an existing order.
You can of course order additional seats from our website, but please be aware that they will most likely be located in a different area of the venue.
What does it mean if ‘No tickets remaining’ is shown when I try to book tickets?
Occasionally tickets.ie may be awaiting a further batch of tickets to be allocated for sale by the GAA and this message is then shown.
You should check back on the website regularly to see if further tickets have been made available. Please note however, that it is not guaranteed that additional tickets will become available.
I chose the delivery option ‘Collect at Box Office’ for a GAA fixture in Croke Park – where and when do I collect my tickets?
Tickets for box office collection at Croke Park can be collected from the GAA Ticket Office which is opposite Gill’s pub on the junction of the North Circular Road and Jones’ Road on the day of the match only.
In general, tickets will be available for collection at least one hour before the turnstiles open on the day of the match, although it is often possible to collect the tickets earlier than this time.
Exact times for ticket collections will be shown on the event page on tickets.ie during the week before the fixture.
What should I do if I am a GAA Season Ticket holder and have a query?
If you are a Season Ticket holder with a query, there is a FAQs section on the Season Tickets website which will assist you.
Please click here to log into the GAA Season Ticket system and then click on the ‘FAQs’ tab.
What should I do if my query still isn’t answered?
Please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie
If you don’t have a debit / credit card or prefer not to buy online, you can also buy tickets over the counter from any of the shops in the Tickets.ie retail network.
Tickets.ie has the largest network of ticket agents in Ireland with over 170 conveniently located outlets nationwide.
Shop staff will guide you through the ticket purchase and print your tickets so you will leave the outlet with your tickets in hand.
Please note that only cash is accepted by way of payment for tickets in these shops and credit / debit cards, cheques or other methods of payment will not be accepted.
Please click here to find an outlet conveniently located to you.
You should first review your booking confirmation email to ensure that you chose to receive your tickets by postal delivery and that you did not choose another delivery method.
Where the customer has opted for postal delivery, Tickets.ie typically posts the tickets within 72 hours of the order being placed, unless stated otherwise at the time of ordering.
If you received a booking reference number for tickets to be delivered by post, it is likely that your tickets are on their way to you or will be shortly.
If you have not received your tickets within 48 hours of the event, please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie to contact us immediately to inform us that the tickets have not yet been arrived. Please include your booking confirmation number, contact details, the details to be corrected and clearly state your query.
The answer to your query or problem is nearly certainly available here in our Frequently Asked Questions section.
Save yourself time and money by looking in our FAQs before contacting tickets.ie.
Just type a few words describing your query and we’ll suggest some answers.
If your query remains unanswered, please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie.
Please include your booking reference number (if available), contact details and clearly state your query.
Please note that email queries are usually answered more quickly than phone queries.
Unfortunately it is not possible for you to change the delivery method you chose when ordering your tickets.
Please ensure you have selected an appropriate delivery method which will allow you to obtain the tickets, prior to placing your order.
Booking confirmation emails typically arrive within about 30 minutes, but sometimes take longer depending which email provider you use.
Please check your Spam, Trash, Junk or Bulk email folders for the booking confirmation email. Some email providers occasionally incorrectly divert legitimate emails to these folders.
If you have not received a booking confirmation email, please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie to request a resend of your booking confirmation email. Please include your booking confirmation number, contact details and clearly state your query.
It is important that the following details are fully correct when ordering from Tickets.ie:
– your name.
– your email address.
– your debit / credit card billing address.
– your phone number.
If you realise you mistyped any of these, please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie as soon as possible to contact us to request correction of the order information. Please include your booking confirmation number, contact details, the details to be corrected and clearly state your query.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure personal information entered is correct and complete and it is not always possible for Tickets.ie to update this information.
It is important to be clear whether your order for tickets has been successfully placed.
This can be done by checking that:
– the page showing the message “Confirming Your Order” or similar is no longer displayed.
– the page showing the message “Your booking reference number is…” or similar followed by a five character code is displayed. No error message is shown on the page.
You should write down your booking reference number immediately after placing the order.
You should also receive a booking confirmation email within a short time, although these can sometimes be delayed or not received at all, for example, if you typed in the wrong email address.
If no booking confirmation number is displayed or an error message is displayed, then you have not successfully ordered tickets.
If you encounter repeated problems while ordering and are still not clear whether you have ordered successfully or not, do not submit multiple orders. Please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie. Please include your contact details and clearly state your query.
Tickets are valuable items – please take care of them as if they were cash.
General admission tickets (i.e. any type of standing or unreserved seating tickets) cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed.
It may be possible to replace reserved seating tickets (i.e. where your seat has been assigned when booking and a row and seat number are shown). Please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie to inform us that your reserved seating tickets have been lost, stolen or destroyed. Please include your booking confirmation number, contact details, the details to be corrected and clearly state your query.
In this case, Tickets.ie can modify the ticket order, so your name is added to the tickets as well as the name of the debit / credit card holder.
Once this is done, it is no longer necessary for the debit / credit card used to place the order to be produced when collecting the tickets at the box office.
To request such a change, you must reply to your booking confirmation email including a note of the new name which should appear on the order. Tickets.ie will notify you once this change has been successfully made.
The following restrictions apply to requests to change the name on tickets:
– For evening shows (i.e. doors open at 6pm or later), Tickets.ie must receive your request before noon on the day of the event.
– For early shows (i.e. doors open earlier than 6pm), Tickets.ie must receive your request before 3pm on the day before the event.
– Tickets.ie reserves the right not to provide this service or to withdraw it completely at its discretion.
When you arrive at the venue you must still give the name of the credit card holder and the booking reference number in order to collect the tickets, but can also mention that your name is also on the tickets.
You will not be required to produce the debit / credit card used to place the order, but may be required to produce identification in your own name when collecting the tickets at the box office.
In this case, if you cannot attend the event for some reason, Tickets.ie can modify the ticket order, so your friend’s name is added to the tickets as your name.
Once this is done, it is no longer necessary for your debit / credit card (which was used to place the order) to be produced when collecting the tickets at the box office.
To request such a change, you must reply to your booking confirmation email including a note of your friend’s name which should appear on the order. Tickets.ie will notify you once this change has been successfully made.
The following restrictions apply to requests to change the name on tickets:
– For evening shows (i.e. doors open at 6pm or later), Tickets.ie must receive your request before noon on the day of the event.

When you arrive at the venue your friend must still give your name and the booking reference number in order to collect the tickets, but can also mention that their name is also on the tickets.
Your friend will not be required to produce the debit / credit card used to place the order, but may be required to produce identification in their own name when collecting the tickets at the box office.
From time to time, events are cancelled or rescheduled by the promoter, band or venue.
Should this happen, Tickets.ie will try to contact you as early as possible by e-mail, with the e-mail address you have supplied at the time of booking.
If an event is rescheduled, you will be informed of the new date / venue once it is confirmed. You can then attend the rescheduled event if you wish or opt to receive a refund.
To gain a refund on tickets for a cancelled or rescheduled event, tickets delivered by post must be returned by registered post to the following address:
Tickets.ie, P.O. Box 10763, Dublin 1, Ireland.
In the case of a rescheduled event, Tickets.ie will communicate a cut-off date by email by which time refund requests must be made. Refund requests made after this date will not be entertained, although you will still be able to use your tickets or contact us to arrange for someone else to use them instead, if you wish.
In most cases refunds are for the basic cost of the tickets purchased as booking and postage fees are non-refundable, as per our Terms & Conditions.
Please note that tickets cannot be refunded, cancelled or exchange unless the event is either cancelled or rescheduled.
Once you have successfully placed your order, the Tickets.ie website displays a message confirming the order and shows your booking reference number.
The booking reference number is five characters long and may contain both numbers and letters, for example: “64FX2”
This booking reference number uniquely identifies your order and you should always quote it if contacting Tickets.ie by email or telephone for customer support.
Here’s what happens when you purchase a ticket from Tickets.ie:
1. We confirm payment with your bank, including getting permission to charge your debit or credit card.
2. We carry out various anti-fraud checks before deciding whether to accept your order.
3. If you chose postal delivery, your tickets are printed and posted by Tickets.ie.
4. You receive your tickets by whichever of the following delivery methods (not all of which may be available for a particular event) you selected when placing your order:
– Post.
– Box office collection.
– Print at home.
– On your mobile phone.
5. Enjoy the show !
For certain events, you may be required to complete your ticket order within a maximum allowed time, the length of which may vary according to the event in question.
Such maximum allowed times may apply to the entire booking process, certain pages within it or a combination of both.
You will see a countdown clock displayed indicating how much time is remaining.
If you do not complete your order within this time, the tickets you have selected are released back into the pool and become available for other customers to buy.
This rule is common on all ticketing websites and is required to correctly manage sale of tickets for high-demand events.
In the case of high-demand events, it is possible that all tickets will have been sold to other customers in the meantime and you will be unable to secure tickets to the event when you restart the purchase process.
You can find the events on Tickets.ie in several different ways:
– type the event name (or part of it) in the main search box at the top of the Tickets.ie homepage and click ‘Find Tickets’. You can then choose from the matching results displayed.
– select the category of the event (e.g. “Music”) and optionally subcategory (e.g. “Rock”). You can then choose from the matching results displayed.
– use the ‘Find Tickets’ search box in the menu to search for events by location, category or date.
– browse the various artist and venue pages, each of which will list related events.
You can pay for tickets using Laser, Visa, Mastercard or 3V Visa vouchers for tickets priced in euros.
Tickets priced in pounds sterling (i.e. price shown in “GBP” on the website) can be purchased by using either Visa or Mastercard, but not by Laser card.
Tickets.ie does not add an extra charge for paying by credit or debit card.
Tickets.ie does not accept American Express, Diners Club, Switch, Maestro, Visa Electron or certain new combined debit / credit cards.
You can also pay for tickets with cash at any of the shops in the Tickets.ie retail network.
The above terms are all used to describe standing or seating arrangements available for a particular event. You will see some of these terms mentioned when placing an order and also on your ticket, so it is important to clearly understanding their meaning:
– “General Admission” typically refers to a standing area within a venue in which no seating is provided for customers. In some infrequent cases, limited unreserved seating may be provided within a General Admission event or area on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
– “Unreserved Seating” refers to a seated area within a venue in which seating is provided for customers on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, rather than a particular seat being reserved for each customer.
– “Reserved Seating” refers to a seated area within a venue in which a specific seat is reserved for each customer. The row and number of the seat is printed on the ticket.
Tickets.ie allows you to choose your own seats for most events which have reserved seating available.
However, for high-demand events which are likely to sell-out within a very short period of time, the facility to allow you choose your own seats cannot be supported and we do not offer it in such cases.
When this happens, the Tickets.ie system will automatically offer you the “Best Available” seats associated with the ticket price you have chosen. In this way, you are assigned the seats with the best location and view available at that point in time.
This approach is standard in the ticketing industry and is needed to allow Tickets.ie to sell extremely high volumes of tickets within a matter of minutes for concerts by very popular acts.
At the time of booking will be asked to choose to receive your tickets by one of the following delivery methods, not all of which may be available for a particular event:
– Post.
– Box office collection.
– Print at home.
– On your mobile phone.
Tickets.ie offers option to have tickets delivered by post provided there is still sufficient time for the tickets to arrive before the event occurs.
In general, the postal option is usually not available within a small number of days before the event. In this case, you may choose the Box Office delivery option (or other delivery methods, if available) to ensure you receive your tickets in time for the event.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to buy tickets for more than one event as part of a single order.
You can place more than one order if you wish to buy tickets for more than one event.
Please note that if you choose postal delivery, the standard postage fee will be charged for each order placed.
Your billing address is the registered address for the credit or debit card you are using to buy tickets. In other words, it’s the address your credit or debit card statement is sent to.
You must enter the correct billing address matching your card number or your order may be cancelled.
Tickets.ie can only post tickets to the billing address of the card used to buy the tickets for security reasons.
Please do not order tickets for the Postal delivery option if it does not suit you to collect them from the billing address of your debit / credit card.
Instead please choose the Box Office Collection delivery option, which will allow you to collect the tickets at the venue as you enter the event.
Please note that Tickets.ie cannot change the address on an order once it has been placed.
Tickets.ie can only post tickets to the billing address of the debit / credit card used to buy the tickets for security reasons.
If the address on your booking is not the same as the billing address of your debit / credit card, your transaction may be cancelled.
You can order tickets on behalf of a friend, family member or someone else using your debit / credit card provided you follow these two standard Tickets.ie rules which are relevant in this case:
– If you have selected postal delivery of the tickets, you must get them delivered to your debit / credit card billing address. Once the tickets are delivered to you, you can then give them to the other person when you next meet or send them by registered post at your own risk.
– If you have selected box office collection for the tickets, you must contact Tickets.ie to change the name on the ticket so the tickets are recorded under the other person’s name rather than your name. (Please refer to a related article in our FAQ section which explains how to do this).
If you chose to collect your tickets and no longer have your credit / debit card for some reason, you can collect your tickets by bringing photo identification and a copy of your credit card statement to the venue box office
Nearly all credit card errors result from two simple causes:
– typing in your credit card number or other related information incorrectly.
– your bank refusing to authorise payment on your credit card, for example because your card has been blocked, credit limit reached etc.
Please double check you have entered all credit your card information correctly and your card status with your bank before contacting tickets.ie regarding payment errors.
Should you have any query about an item attributed to tickets.ie on your card statement, please send us an email to orders@tickets.ie. Please include your booking confirmation number, contact details and clearly state your query.
Replacement tickets can only be issued if the original tickets were for reserved seating (i.e. with a specific row and seat number printed on the ticket).
General admission tickets – either standing or for non-assigned seating – or any other non-reserved seating cannot be replaced.
In such cases, replacement tickets can only be collected at the box office by the customer and cannot be posted for security reasons.
As we sell tickets for a large number of popular events, other third party music and entertainment websites often take it upon themselves to link to Tickets.ie so their visitors can easily buy tickets.
Sometimes such websites link directly to the purchase page for a particular event rather than just bringing the visitor to the Tickets.ie homepage and letting them search for the event themselves.
In such cases, you should always double check that you are purchasing tickets for the correct event, date and venue as the third-party websites sometimes make mistakes in their linking which could result in you buying the wrong tickets.
Tickets.ie will not be held responsible for such erroneous orders and cannot refund, cancel or exchange tickets ordered as a result.
You must pay for tickets in the shops using cash. Credit / debit cards, cheques or other methods of payment will not be accepted.
Print at Home tickets are electronic tickets which you can print at home so you get your tickets immediately.
You don’t need any special equipment to use Print at Home tickets. Just make sure your printer can print at more than 300DPI (dots per inch) and has enough ink to print the ticket clearly in black ink. Most printers – both inkjet and laser – bought in the last few years should be fine.
Each ticket contains a unique bar code which will be scanned at the venue. Please ensure this bar code image is printed correctly – you may need to check your computer and printer settings to ensure they are set to print images.
When you arrive at the venue where the event is being held, the door staff will quickly scan your ticket allowing you to enter without any fuss or delay
Print at Home tickets are convenient and allow you to get your tickets immediately, without wasting any time or incurring postage charges
Print at Home tickets are only offered for events taking place at venues which are equipped with Tickets.ie ticket scanners.
The number of venues using Print at Home ticketing is growing all the time, so watch out for the Print at Home option the next time you order from Tickets.ie
Unfortunately we can’t issue official Tickets.ie paper tickets in place of Print at Home tickets.
Tickets.ie seeks to sell tickets for all shows to make sure the customer has choice and can buy tickets at a fair and competitive price.
Some promoters and venues do not make tickets for their events available to Tickets.ie. This action restricts your choice as a consumer and forces you to pay more for each ticket you buy.
Tickets.ie encourages customers to contact the promoter or venue to ask why their tickets are not available for purchase on Tickets.ie.
Most standard evening music events generally finish between 10.00pm and 10.30pm, but please be aware that this is only a rough guideline.
Please contact the venue if you need more exact information as to when the event you are attending is likely to finish.
Some events are scheduled as either early or late-night shows, so please check the door-open time carefully when booking tickets
A promoter, band or venue sometimes offers a money-off reduction or special offer such as “6 tickets for the price of 5” to either some or all customers buying tickets for their event on Tickets.ie.
These reductions or offers are made available by way of a promotional code which must be typed in by the customer when purchasing the ticket online. Promotional codes are sometimes only made available to certain customers selected by the promoter or venue, while others are available to the general public.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the promotional code entered is the correct one for the event, is not mistyped, is valid, not expired etc and to make sure that any other conditions required by the code have been fulfilled.
For example, if you have a promotional code for a “6 tickets for the price of 5” offer, you must select six tickets as the on-screen text instructs. If you only select five tickets, the scenario will not be correct for the promotional code to be applied, you will be charged for five tickets and will not receive a sixth ticket free of charge.
Most importantly, you must double check that the discount offered by the promotional code has been correctly applied prior to placing your order and that the final total due has been reduced by the correct amount.
The correct discount being shown is the only final proof that the correct promotional code was correctly entered by the customer. If the discount is not applied, do not place the order. You must instead ensure all promotional code details you entered are correct. Do not contact Tickets.ie unless you are fully sure on this point.
You should take care of any promotional code you receive as it can usually only be used once and is deactivated after having been used to place a ticket order. If you tell someone else the code which you were sent, they may use it and you will then not be able to receive the discount or special offer when buying tickets.
Your order is accepted with the details entered by you when it was originally placed and it is not possible for Tickets.ie to revisit orders at a later stage to either apply newly available promotional codes or to resolve any issue relating to promotional code incorrectly entered by the customer. Similarly, it is not possible to cancel or amend any order involving erroneous use of a promotional code
Occasionally a promoter, band or venue may decide to make a number of tickets for an event available for priority purchase on the Tickets.ie website in advance of them being available to the general public.
These Internet presales are usually made available to fan or supporters clubs, season ticket holders, newsletter subscribers etc. You cannot apply to Tickets.ie to be included in these presales – its up to the promoter, band or venue to decide who to include if they are running one.
If you have been selected to avail of an Internet presale, you will typically be informed by email containing a link to a page on the Tickets.ie to visit and a special code which you must enter to be allowed purchase tickets.
You should take care of your Internet presale code as it can usually only be used once and is deactivated after having been used to place a ticket order. If you tell someone else the code which you were sent, they may use it and you will then not be able to buy tickets with it.
If a limit on how many tickets can be bought by a single customer as part of an Internet presale is in place, do not try to obtain more than the permitted number of tickets by placing multiple separate orders. Tickets.ie checks order details such as customer name, email address, credit card number etc to identify such multiple orders placed by a single customer.
Tickets.ie reserves the right to cancel without notice any order placed by a customer trying to exceed the specified ticket limit, by whatever means. Please note that in such cases, all orders will be placed by the customer will be cancelled and no tickets will therefore be obtained. Your Internet presale code will also be deactivated preventing you from buying further tickets
Many fan / support clubs or sports leagues offering season tickets give members priority access to their tickets on the Tickets.ie website in advance of them being available to the general public.
If you are eligible for such priority access to tickets, you will typically be informed by email, containing a link to a page on the Tickets.ie to visit and a special code which you must enter to be allowed purchase tickets.
You should take care of your priority access code as it can usually only be used once and is deactivated after having been used to place a ticket order. If you tell someone else the code which you were sent, they may use it and you will then not be able to buy tickets with it.
If a limit on how many tickets can be bought by a single customer with priority access is in place, do not try to obtain more than the permitted number of tickets by placing multiple separate orders.
Your priority access code will also be deactivated preventing you from buying tickets in the future.
Demand for certain events sold on Tickets.ie can be extremely high with thousands of customers simultaneously buying tickets through the website, shops and other channels.
Given each customer can buy multiple tickets (sometimes up to eight) in their order and due to the efficiency of the Tickets.ie system, thousands of tickets can be sold within a short period of time.
Sometimes when only a small number of tickets for a particular reserved seating event are left, these remaining seats may be scattered at different locations within a seating area.
In these cases, it may be possible to buy the number of tickets you desire, for example four tickets. However, they may be located in different rows, for example two together in one row, two others apart in separate rows etc.
You will be made aware of this restriction both if choosing your own seats or having ‘Best Available’ seats assigned by the system.
At this point you can decide to accept the seats even though they are not located together or instead opt to abandon the ticket order.
Currently a maximum number of eight tickets can be purchased in a single order on Tickets.ie. Certain events may restrict the maximum number of tickets purchased to quantities of less than eight tickets.
Should you require more than eight tickets, please place an additional order for the remaining tickets required, provided it is allowed to order more than this quantity for the event in question.
